“ABSTRACT STACKS” COMING TO ALBUQUERQUE SEPTEMBER 30-OCTOBER 4

Zoya Lopata Dixon and Sam Lopata, Family Triptych

Join me in Albuquerque right before Balloon Fiesta takes flight.

I am thrilled to return to Albuquerque for my solo pop-up art show, ABSTRACT SAND STACKS, on view September 30 to October 4 at the Sheehan Winery Tasting Room in Old Town. An opening reception will take place on Friday, September 30 from 5-8 PM. The tasting room is located at 303 Romero St NW Suite 110 in Albuquerque. The reception is free and open to the public. Sheehan Winery’s award-winning wines will be available for tasting and for purchase; small bites will also be available.

This series is special because of the collaboration with my brother, Sam Lopata, who I met in 2021 after the passing of our dad, whom I also only met once, when I was twenty-five. FAMILY TRIPTYCH, seems above, is the collaborative piece created by me and Sam using our father’s journal entries from the 1970s as inspiration, and Sam’s deft graffiti hand as the background. See you in Albuquerque!
